A Two Rivers woman is facing a long list of child abuse charges.
42-year-old Anna R. Reichard was given a $20,000 cash bail on Friday (May 29th) by Court Commissioner Jewel Scharenbroch.
This comes as Reichard faces four felony counts of Child Abuse-Intentionally Cause Harm, and one count each of First-Degree Recklessly Endangering Safety, Strangulation and Suffocation, Causing Mental Harm to a Child, and Contributing to the Delinquency of a Child.
Court records show that these charges link back to a lengthy string of alleged abuse, which dates back to 2022.
At this time, few details regarding the incidents have been made available, however, during the 42-year-old’s bail hearing, Commissioner Scharenbroch explained that the actions of Reichard detailed in the probable cause statement displayed “significant and severe, harsh treatment to a child.”
At that same hearing, it was also revealed that the child victim is just 15 years old.
These charges outline a pattern of behavior for Reichard, who has twice been convicted of similar charges in Sheboygan County, one of which resulted in a two-year prison sentence after being found guilty of Neglecting a Child, Consequence is Bodily Harm.
Reichard will be back in court today (June 1st) for her initial appearance at 1:30 p.m.
