A Manitowoc assisted living facility has announced its volunteer of the year.
Earning the award this year is Mike Miller, who put in over 200 hours of service over the past year. The organization says he has played “an essential role in supporting resident activities, transportation, and special events. He consistently goes above and beyond to ensure residents can participate as fully as possible, removing barriers and encouraging involvement in ways that truly make a difference.”
Not only has Mike taken the initiative to build meaningful relationships with residents, even visiting male residents weekly, he went above and beyond on Veterans Day, volunteering to speak to the residents, offering a heartfelt prayer and presenting pins in recognition of their service.
The award was presented by Luke Schubert, President/CEO and Lauren Daun, Director of Home & Community Based Services.
