A candidate running for a state senate seat has submitted his nomination signatures.
Nic Cravillion gave over 700 nomination signatures to the Wisconsin Elections Commission (WEC) last Friday from residents across Wisconsin’s 1st Senate District.
Cravillion says signatures came from farmers, veterans, and small business owners, among others.
He’s become the first candidate seeking to represent residents in the 1st District to file nomination signatures.
Cravillion says he is humbled and appreciative of the support and encouragement toward his campaign over the past couple of weeks.
The WEC requires candidates for State Senate to submit a minimum of 400 signatures to qualify for the ballot.
Cravillion is a small-business owner and Army combat veteran who has spent five years serving as a district director for State Senator Andre Jacque.
Jacque decided not to run for reelection after more than a decade in political office.
Nic says his campaign’s message is centered on getting “excessive government out of the way, addressing the affordability crisis, which is making it so difficult for families to make ends meet, and preserving the values and freedoms that have made Northeast Wisconsin the best place to live in the country.”
