Work continues to progress at Manitowoc’s Red Arrow Beach.
Mayor Justin Nickels says the work done so far creates a cleaner, more open shoreline for residents and visitors, adding ADA-accessible paths.
He also reminds residents that once construction is complete, the parking lot will transition to a one-way traffic pattern after the curve toward Green Street to improve pedestrian safety and help vehicles flow more smoothly.
A new center-stage area is also taking shape, which can be used for community events, small performances, and gatherings.
Nickels finishes saying that work is scheduled to be completed by July 4th.
The city received grants from the Wisconsin DNR and T-Mobile to complete work at Red Arrow Beach.
Manitowoc officials broke ground on the project in early April.
