The Manitowoc man accused of repeated sexual assaults, leading to multiple pregnancies, has made his first appearance in court.
37-year-old Randy Kue was present for his bail hearing yesterday, where he was given a $100,000 cash bail by Court Commissioner Jewel Scharenbroch.
Kue has been formally charged with Sexual Assault by Use or Threat of Violence, two counts of Sexual Assault Causing Pregnancy, and three counts of Physical Abuse of a Child.
These charges arose after one of the victims spoke to Manitowoc Police, noting that she had been physically and sexually assaulted daily for a significant amount of time by Kue.
She continued to say that two of these instances of sexual assault led to two unintended pregnancies, with one child born in 2020 and another in 2022.
It is also alleged that Kue would overpower and physically harm the victim, regardless of whether she resisted his sexual advances in any way.
When contemplating the severity and conditions of the 37-year-old’s bail, Commissioner Scharenbroch noted that his actions were “extremely serious and concerning,” and that the four victims involved in the case were “terrorized by Mr. Kue.”
As per his bail, he has also been made subject to a strict no-contact order with all four victims and their residence.
He will return to court for his initial appearance on June 1st.
