Manitowoc Police have arrested a man who allegedly sexually assaulted a girl multiple times per day and impregnated her twice.
An officer sat in on an interview with a victim at the Lakeshore Regional Child Advocacy Center on May 11th, where the victim recalled being struck with a belt by a 37-year-old man.
The victim explained that the man “doesn’t like to be bothered while he’s playing his games,” and that he would hit them with other items as well, including a hanger and a phone.
The victim said that when they were hit, it felt like they were being “bitten by a bear.”
A separate victim, who appears to be the mother of the first, told the officer that the man had forced her to “prostitute” for him starting in 2019.
The victim recalled multiple incidents where the suspect would physically overpower her and times he would hit her if she resisted.
She claimed he would assault her multiple times per day, every day, for a stretch of time.
The victim explained that they had moved to the area in 2019 from a foreign country, and they were not aware of whether these were common practices in the U.S.
The victim also had two children as a result of these assaults.
One was born in 2020, and the other was born in 2022.
As a result, the 37-year-old man was arrested on charges of Sexual Assault by Use or Threat of Violence, two counts of Sexual Assault Causing Pregnancy, and three counts of Physical Abuse of a Child.
The police report is heavily redacted, so his relationship with the victims and their ages is not known.
