There is a big expansion happening at a local Lutheran school.
Construction is underway on a nearly $3 million addition at Immanuel Lutheran School and Preschool on Waldo Blvd.
The project called Preparing for God’s Blessings has been in discussion since 2022, when a building committee was formed.
After years of discussion and planning with Excel Education of Fond du Lac, the school decided to build three full-size early childhood classrooms to accommodate more preschoolers and provide additional classroom space for kindergarten through eighth grade.
Construction also includes a commons area off the gymnasium for large group activities. Six information meetings were held with members of Immanuel Lutheran School.
Voters approved taking the next step by filing a capital appeal to determine whether there is sufficient financial support.
After three presentations, the school got the go-ahead to start the project.
A.C.E Building Service is working on the expansion, and it’s being financed by Bank First.
The project is scheduled to be finished by October.
