A big road construction project in Calumet County begins tomorrow.
The Wisconsin DOT will begin a resurfacing project with culvert work on State Highway 32/57 between Chilton and New Holstein, closing the highway for 10 days.
WisDOT noted that the purpose of the project is to address deteriorating pavement and drainage conditions.
Work crews will resurface the highway, remove and replace four cattle passes with culverts, replace one culvert, and apply pavement markings.
Highway 32/57 will be closed between Ford Drive in New Holstein and just north of Irish Road near Chilton.
Detours will take motorists to County Highway H and County Highway G.
This closure will be in place for 10 days, with the highway reopening on June 8th.
More details on the project can be found at project.511wi.gov.
