A Manitowoc woman is facing a long list of charges after drugs were found in her child’s backpack.
38-year-old Rachel A Kraemer was present for her bail hearing on Friday (May 22nd), where she was given a $1,000 cash bail by Court Commissioner Jewel Scharenbroch.
Kraemer has been formally charged with Possession of a Schedule 1 Narcotic, a Schedule 2 Narcotic, Methamphetamine, and Drug Paraphernalia, among other charges.
The 38-year-old was recently arrested by the Manitowoc Police Department after she was found in possession of drugs, including fentanyl and meth.
When police made contact with Kraemer, they noted that she was exhibiting clear signs of paranoia, a common outcome from the use of methamphetamine.
During her bail hearing, Court Commissioner Scharenbroch noted that the charge of Child Neglect and some of the possession charges were handed to Kraemer after an unspecified amount of drugs were located inside her child’s backpack.
Additional terms of her bail include no contact with another victim involved, only supervised contact with her daughter, she must maintain absolute sobriety, and she is not to possess any controlled substances.
She is back in court on Tuesday (May 26th) to make her initial appearance at 1:30 p.m. in Branch 1.
