A local law enforcement agency has joined the ranks for an upcoming fundraising effort.
The Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Office will be participating in the 8th annual Ride With the Lights event on Saturday, June 27th.
This annual event allows participants to ride along in their muscle cars, vintage rides, or motorcycles with local members of law enforcement for a fully escorted “ride with the lights,” all in support of people in the community.
The ride will begin at the Brown County Sheriff’s Office in Green Bay, traveling south to the Calumet County Sheriff’s Office in Chilton.
It will cost $40 to register a vehicle for the event, with all proceeds raised in support of the Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Office being turned into gift cards that will be distributed to the community members in need when deputies are out on patrol.
Registration is now open online; however, day-off registration will be offered from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
The police escorted caravan will then hit the road at 11:30 a.m.
Those looking to register a vehicle can do so by visiting lightsofchristmas.us.
