Two Rivers Utilities is sending out a big thanks for helping with the cleanup after a sudden storm this past Sunday.
They say on their Facebook page that they could not be more grateful to the mutual aid response through Municipal Electric Utilities of Wisconsin.
The association sent public utility crews from Manitowoc, New Holstein, Menasha, and six other municipalities to help clean up trees and repair fallen power lines.
Two Rivers Utilities noted that they worked well together and were humbled by the quick response and generosity.
They also shouted out McDonald’s for handling breakfast orders and Tietz’s Piggly Wiggly for donating broasted chicken and potato wedges for lunch.
The public utility also thanked customers for their patience and understanding of how frustrating it is when the power goes out.
Cleanup is continuing into next week. Straight-line winds are blamed for uprooting trees and downing powerlines.
The city asks that residents who are still without power, have flickering lights, or see a tree on a powerline call 920-793-5550.
