A local nonprofit is once again fundraising to keep Sheboygan County students well-fed.
The Sheboygan County Food Bank has launched its 4th annual Fund Food for Thought campaign, aiming to support 750 students next school year.
This fundraising campaign will provide the Food Bank with the money to supply students across the county with free, nutritious meals over the weekends when they are not in school through the Food for Thought for Kids program.
This year, the Sheboygan County Food Bank has set out to raise $150,000 by June 18th in order to keep those 750 students fed while not in school, the organization’s largest-ever goal in the campaign’s four-year history and 100 more than this school year.
During the campaign, every donation made will go twice as far thanks to the Black Spring Foundation, which has committed to a dollar-for-dollar match of funds received up to $150,000.
This year, a new way to support the cause has been introduced, allowing local individuals or groups to start their own fundraiser to further support the Fund Food for Thought campaign.

Last year, the Food Bank raised $215,000 for the Food for Thought for Kids program.
