A man was arrested for sexually assaulting several women at the Manitowoc Pick N Save.
Manitowoc Police were dispatched to the store on Calumet Avenue at 11:30 Sunday morning (May 17th) to investigate the report.
The Assistant Store Manager told police that a man had grabbed the backside of a female employee.
Then, while being escorted outside, the man allegedly grabbed another female’s behind.
The victim explained that she was handing out free samples when the suspect approached her from behind, grabbed her backside, pressed her up against a nearby shelf, and “moaned in a sexual manner.”
The incident was also caught on surveillance footage, and while he was in the squad car, he reportedly stated, “I smacked that booty.”
The officer brought the 37-year-old man to the police department, and while he was alone in the interrogation room, he allegedly removed some clothing, the extent of which was redacted in the police report.
The man was brought to the Manitowoc County Jail on charges of 4th Degree Sexual Assault and Possession of THC.
The man has a history of inappropriate sexual activity, as he has previous convictions for 2nd Degree Sexual Assault of a Child, Lewd, Lascivious Behavior – Exposure, and Exposing Genitals, Public Area, or Intimate Parts to a Child in Manitowoc and Milwaukee Counties.
