The Manitowoc Police Department’s April statistics are in.
The department responded to 2,160 calls for service last month, which is down slightly from the 2,209 in April 2025.
Total calls for service this year also remained down compared to this time last year, 8,555 compared to 8,471 this year.
Adult criminal charges were down in April this year.
There were 124 adults charged last month compared to 144 in April 2025.
However, the total numbers are up this year, with 468 so far, compared to 395 by this time last year.
Juvenile charges are also up again.
There were 10 juveniles last month compared to only four in April 2025. Total juvenile charges have also doubled.
By this time last year, only 25 had been charged.
That number is at 57 in 2026. Manitowoc Police also reported fewer car accidents, with 68 in April this year.
It was at 76 last April. Total car accidents year to date are close, with 334 in 2026 compared to 336 by this time last year.
