A child is recovering in West Allis after being hit by a vehicle.
It happened Friday night at South 69th Street and West National Avenue when police say the vehicle passed several others that had stopped for pedestrians in the crosswalk.
That’s when the vehicle hit a four-year-old child who was walking with his mother.
The driver was arrested for reckless driving, while the child is now recovering at home.
A West Allis alderwoman made a call on social media for drivers to slow down on the roads, emphasizing “it’s not a race.”
