Those interested in some items from a historic Manitowoc church have one more day to see what’s available.
St. Francis of Assisi Parish has one more day of their St. Boniface public sale happening this morning (May 16th) from 9:00 a.m. to noon.
The parish will accept cash and cards, but all sales of leftover items are final.
They were offering a collection of antique tables, chairs, pews, nativity scenes, and other items not concerned with the sacred.
Items considered sacred, such as the church’s organ and statues, will be donated to other Catholic parishes or kept in Manitowoc.
It’s part of the relocation process St. Francis of Assisi Parish is undertaking as it says goodbye to the building that holds many memories.
St. Boniface was built in 1885 as one of the first churches in Manitowoc and held its last service in 2013.
A decree from the Diocese of Green Bay has closed the church, saying it’s no longer needed to serve the parish.
