A Manitowoc man with a history of drug-related crimes has been sentenced in another case.
33-year-old Yileng Yang was found guilty due to a no contest plea on a charge of Possession of Narcotic Drugs, but Judge Jerilyn Ditez withheld her sentencing and placed him on probation for two years.
A 30-day stay in the Manitowoc County Jail can be imposed upon his agent’s discretion.
Yang’s rap sheet dates back to October of 2023, when he was arrested for knocking over a street sign while under the influence.
Since then, he has been arrested on drug and domestic violence charges, but was only convicted on one additional charge of Possession of Narcotic Drugs.
Charges of Battery, and Disorderly Conduct, each with Domestic Abuse enhancers, Possession of a Controlled Substance, and six counts of Felony Bail Jumping have been dismissed but read into the record.
As a part of his sentence, Yang was ordered to maintain absolute sobriety and to maintain some combination of full-time employment, schooling, or treatment.
