
While the Manitowoc Lincoln girls dominated the Manitowoc County Track and Field Invite on Tuesday, it was the Manitowoc Lutheran boys who led the charge.
The Lancers racked up 173 points, 61 more than Kiel, followed by Two Rivers and Lincoln in a tie for 3rd.
Roncalli was 5th, followed by Mishicot, Valders, and Reedsville.
The Lancer relay teams continued their historic seasons with Ben Harrison, Isaac Wagner, Noah Dillon, and Brody Wieting claiming the 4×100 relay, Harrison, Wagner, Isaiah Muchka, and Roman DiMarco taking the 4×200, and Muchka, DiMarco, Stuebs, and Luke Mehlhorn claiming the 4×400.
Also earning wins on the track were Julian Stuebs in the 400m, and Trenton Schuettpelz in the 110 and 300m hurdles.
In the field events, the Lancers took the top three spots in the shot put and discus, with Tristan Hulce throwing the shot put nearly 4 feet further than teammate Jon Naumann, while Levi Welch out-tossed Austin Euclide by more than 10 feet.
As for the girls, the Lancers finished 6th with Lincoln finishing first.
Lutheran had three 2nd place finishes and no first-place finishes, with Abby Huehn named runner-up in the long jump, Aurora Bode finishing second in the discus, and Huehn, Ava Schultz, Brooke Duveneck, and Eva Manzano earning silver in the 4×100 relay.
