The Manitowoc Public School District is moving its alternative programming.
The school board unanimously approved a contract Tuesday (May 12th) to lease space at Hillside Hall at the UW-Green Bay Manitowoc campus for three years at $100,000.
The process began in January when the district met with representatives.
The move is part of MPSD’s consolidation plan, which includes the closure of two elementary schools.
Madison and Jackson Elementary School students will attend Stangel as the district converts the building back into an elementary school.
Alternative program students had been going to Stangel for years before the change.
