A Wisconsin Senator continues to push a bill requiring access to sports for any fan after the announcement of a holiday game.
Yesterday, the NFL announced that the Green Bay Packers will take on the Los Angeles Rams on Thanksgiving Eve, but the only place to see it will be on Netflix.
Sen. Tammy Baldwin says that means Wisconsinites will have to pay for a subscription to watch the Packers play.
Sen. Baldwin continues to push her bill, the For the Fans Act, which would allow local fans to see their local sports teams play and end blackouts for league-owned streaming services like NBA League Pass and MLB TV.
She finishes saying that the bill would also end the complicated web of streaming services and cut costs for viewers across the country.
So far, the For the Fans Act has only been referred to the U.S. Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation.
