A local organization has once again awarded a significant amount of money to students seeking higher education.
The Sheboygan Public Education Foundation (SPEF) held its annual scholarship night this week, with 95 seniors in high school receiving funding.
In total, 120 scholarships were awarded throughout the event, totaling more than $1.8 million to support the future of each student.
On the annual event, the SPEF said with gratitude, “We are deeply grateful to the individuals, families, businesses, and organizations who continue to invest in education and believe in the potential of our students. Your support is changing lives and opening doors for the next generation.”
In addition to annual scholarships, the organization also supplies local students with school supplies, books, and grant funding to ensure students in the Sheboygan area have the tools necessary to fulfill their education dreams.
To date, the SPEF has given $1,623,182 in grant funding to enrich learning in Sheboygan over the past 23 years.
