A monster 6th inning secured Manitowoc Lincoln its 11th baseball win of the season.
The Ships hosted Sheboygan South at Bruce Steinbecker Field, and used an 11-run 6th inning to secure the 13-3 win.
It was a rather quick affair through five innings, as both teams were swinging the bat, resulting in several low pitch count innings, but the Ships were able to take a 2-0 lead into the 6th.
That is when the Redwings were able to take advantage of a tired Cameron Shilts, who pitched the entire game up to that point, and bring home three runs.
Nick Minikel came on to secure the final out, leaving the Ships down 1 entering the bottom half of the frame.
That is when the Ships bats really came alive.
Every single batter that came up to the plate reached base in some way or another before the Redwings could record a single out, and 11 runs later, the game was over.
There were a few Shipbuilders who did not record a hit, but even they were able to force a walk or were hit by a pitch.
Nick Braun caused the most damage, driving home 4 runs, while Cade Grapentine had 2 RBI, and six other Ships players had one.
Up next for Lincoln is an FRCC contest against Ashwaubenon at Bruce Steinbecker Field tonight.
First pitch is scheduled for 4:30 p.m.
