A portion of the trail that runs along Lake Michigan in Manitowoc is closing today (May 12th).
Manitowoc Parks and Recreation Director Brock Wetenkamp tells SeehaferNews.com that the section of the Mariners Trail from Bay Pointe Road to approximately 700 feet south will be closed today and tomorrow for some contractor work.
Specifically, the contractor will be doing topsoil, seeding, and cleanup in the area where new shoreline protection was placed along Memorial Drive in November.
