A person is dead following a house fire in Sheboygan.
The Sheboygan Fire Department was called to a residence on Pershing Avenue early this morning (May 11th) after a passerby noticed smoke and heard smoke alarms sounding.
The first companies on scene forced entry into the home, where they found heavy smoke banking down to the floor.
A deceased individual and a deceased dog were found during a sweep of the home. The cause of the fire is not known at this time.
A total of ten Sheboygan Fire Department units responded to the scene, as did the Sheboygan Police Department, the Sheboygan County Coroner, and the Medical Examiner’s Office.
