
Local high school softball, girls soccer, and baseball teams are in the heart of their seasons as they get back into action tonight.
GIRLS SOCCER
Kiel is unbeaten through 12 games and is currently ranked #14 in the state.
The only team in our area ranked higher is Appleton North, who at #9 with an 11-1 record.
The Raiders’ strength of schedule is a disadvantage in the ratings, as they have the weakest schedule of any team in the top 25.
They will be hosting Kewaskum tonight after knocking off Valders 13-2 last night.
Meanwhile, Sheboygan Falls enters tonight’s contest in Oostburg with a 7-2-2 record, good for 77th in the state.
The Falcons’ only losses have come at the hands of Kiel and Fond du Lac, which is the 26th-ranked team in Wisconsin.
SOFTBALL
Manitowoc Lincoln will be on the road to take on FRCC rival Ashwaubenon.
The Ships are coming off a double header yesterday in West De Pere, losing game one 10-1 and game two 12-7.
Meanwhile, Roncalli will make the trip across Manitowoc to take on the Lancers of Manitowoc Lutheran.
The Jets are closing out a busy stretch where they are playing four games in five days, with tonight’s matchup being the finale.
The Lancers, meanwhile, are coming off a date with Hilbert, where they knocked off the Wolves 4-1 to improve to 4-6 overall and 3-5 in the Big East North.
Other games around the area find Sheboygan Lutheran on the road for Green Bay West, Sheboygan South hosting Oostburg, Sheboygan North home for West De Pere, Cedar Grove-Belgium invading Grafton, and Denmark at Little Chute.
BASEBALL
Reedsville will try to make it two wins in three days against the same Big East North opponent.
The Panthers took down Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah on the road on Tuesday, 9-8, and will face off against the Resorters again tonight, this time in front of a home crowd.
Elsewhere, Sheboygan Falls is on the road for St. Lawrence Seminary, Kohler/Sheboygan Christian travels to Fond du Lac to face St. Mary’s Springs, and Random Lake has a road test against Kewaskum.
