The Roncalli softball team will try to get back on the winning track and get revenge as they travel to New Holstein.
The Jets have struggled so far this season, falling to 3-9 after Monday’s loss to the Huskies.
That loss was the third in a row for Roncalli, over which they only mustered 3 runs. It’s not all bad for Roncalli, however, as they have been quite prolific on the basepath.
Sophomore Emily Schultz has stolen 8 bases this season, followed closely by Junior Megan Lamers.
Three other players have five stolen bags, and six others have at least one.
In fact, the Jets have stolen 44 bags over their 12 games, giving the team an average of 3 and two-thirds stolen bases per game.
The Jets will try to use that prowess tonight as they seek their first conference win of the season, with a first pitch at 4:30 p.m.
