Another local law enforcement agency is looking to offer additional help to residents around the holidays.
The Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Office has shared that they have partnered with the Police Lights of Christmas Outreach Program.
The Sheriff’s Office has described the Police Lights of Christmas Program as “a nonprofit initiative dedicated to supporting individuals and families in our community who are underprivileged or experiencing financial hardship.”
This support is cultivated through events such as Ride With The Lights and Cops At Culver’s Day, both of which the Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Office will be participating in later this year.
Funds raised at each event will then be converted into gift cards, which will be provided by law enforcement to residents during their daily interactions.
Through the outreach program, the Sheriff’s Office will also be competing against other law enforcement agencies across the state, aiming to raise as much money as possible.
