
It will be a very busy day in local high school athletics.
BASEBALL
It’s been an up-and-down season for the Manitowoc Lutheran baseball team.
Currently, the Lancers are on an uptick, having swept Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah in a home-and-home series last week.
They try for a third consecutive win this afternoon as they begin a home-and-home series with the Hilbert Wolves in Hilbert.
Manitowoc Lutheran and Reedsville are 2-2 in conference, a game behind co-leaders Mishicot and St. Mary Catholic, but only a game clear of Hilbert and Elkhart Lake Glenbeulah.
The first pitch is scheduled to be thrown at 5:00 p.m.
Meanwhile, first place in the Big East North is on the line today as Mishicot travels to St. Mary Catholic to meet the Zephyrs, the Brillion Lions seek their 13th straight win, as they host Roncalli, Kewaunee looks to remain undefeated as host Gibraltar/Washington Island in a Packerland Conference doubleheader, and Random Lake hosts a doubleheader against Chesterton Academy/St. John’s Northwest/University Kake of Milwaukee.
Also on tap, Chilton travels to Two Rivers, Valders entertains New Holstein, Reedsville heads to Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah, Kohler/Sheboygan Christian hosts Howards Grove, Sheboygan Lutheran visits Ozaukee, Denmark hosts Luxemburg-Casco, and Algoma travels to Green Bay to battle Green Bay NEW Lutheran/Providence Academy.
SOFTBALL
Manitowoc Lincoln hosts FRCC, leading Green Bay Preble at Citizen Park.
The visiting and undefeated Hornets are one of the best teams in the state as they are ranked third in the MaxPreps Division One Poll and sixth overall in the state.
The Ships were searching for their third straight win at Pulaski on Monday and look for a season series split with the Hornets, who defeated the Ships 10-0 back on April 13th in Green Bay.
The first pitch is scheduled for 4:30 p.m.
Elsewhere, two of the top three teams in the EWC meet in Valders as the Vikings host the Brillion Lions.
Both teams were 6 and 2 in conference heading into Monday’s games and trailed conference-leading New Holstein by one game.
These two teams meet again on Thursday in Brillion, and Mishicot tries to snap a three-game losing streak as they continue their quest for the Big East North Conference title as they visit St. Mary Catholic.
GIRLS SOCCER
After a week off, the Manitowoc Lincoln girls’ soccer team returns to action tonight as they travel to West De Pere to meet the Phantoms in FRCC play.
The Ships had a five-match unbeaten streak snapped last Tuesday night in Ashwaubenon and have a busy week with three matches in five days (at Sheboygan North Thursday and hosting Roncalli/Two Rivers Saturday).
West De Pere comes into tonight 0-2 in the FRCC and 1-4-2 overall.
Match time is scheduled for 6:30 p.m.
Elsewhere, Kiel undefeated in 10 games, heads to Kohler, Roncalli/Two Rivers hosts Kewaunee, Clintonville visits Valders, Sheboygan North is at Ashwaubenon, Cedar Grove-Belgium entertains Sheboygan Lutheran, Green Bay NEW Lutheran/Providence Academy hosts Howards Grove, FRCC leading Green Bay Preble is home for Bay Port, Notre Dame takes a bus ride to De Pere Green Bay Southwest is at Pulaski and Green Bay West hosts Sevastopol/Gibraltar.
TRACK AND FIELD
The Manitowoc Lincoln Track and Field team catches up with the rest of the FRCC in Bay Port for the annual conference relays this afternoon, while Two Rivers welcomes Roncalli, Chilton, and New Holstein for a co-ed track and field Quadrangular at Jerry Bonino Field.
BOYS GOLF
Manitowoc Lincoln heads to Hilly Haven for the next leg of the FRCC meet, while Fox Hills in Mishicot is the scene for the 2026 Big East Conference Golf meet.
BOYS TENNIS
Manitowoc Lincoln hosts Notre Dame Academy of Green Bay, and Roncalli/Manitowoc travels to Kohler to meet the Blue Bombers.
