Ongoing road projects continue to affect traffic in the City of Sheboygan.
This week, construction continues to progress on South Business Drive and Mead Avenue, with closures in place on both streets.
On South Business, the single-lane closure between Union Avenue and Georgia Avenue remains in place as construction crews make progress on storm sewer, curb, gutter, and concrete panel work.
Similar work on Mead Avenue continues to cause a complete closure between South 12th Street and South 10th Street.
Additional work to be done on Mead Avenue will also include the construction of new crosswalks at South 11th Street.
At this time, both road projects have been tentatively scheduled for completion in June; however, all work and related traffic impacts are weather-dependent and subject to change.
Regarding these and any future road construction projects in the City, the Sheboygan Department of Public Works said, “The City of Sheboygan understands the inconvenience experienced during road construction and appreciates your patience and cooperation as we work to complete this project. Please use caution and slow down in construction zones.”
