More on and off-ramps for I-43 in Sheboygan County will be closed for stretches of this week.
The Wisconsin DOT is continuing the resurfacing of the highway this week, with four more ramps being addressed.
The first is the northbound off-ramp to Highway 28, which will be closed from 4:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. today (May 4th).
Then, the northbound off-ramp to Highway 42 will be closed during the same time frame on Tuesday, as will the southbound on-ramp.
Lastly, for this week anyway, the southbound off-ramp at Highway 28 will be closed on Thursday, from 4:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
As for the main project, the contractor is continuing rehab work on various structures in both directions from Highway 42 to County Road V.
Crews are also working on right-of-way fence removal and installation along northbound lanes between Highways 32 and 23.
The long-term project is expected to take until November, and single lane closures will remain in effect for the majority of the project. For more details, visit Projects.511WI.gov.
Additionally, maintenance crews will be repairing pavement in both directions on Highway 23 between 23rd Street and the west county line today and tomorrow from 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
A moving lane closure will be used during repairs.
