A three-game win streak for the Manitowoc Lincoln baseball team has come to an end.
The Ships invaded West De Pere yesterday, where they fell to the host Phantoms 5-0.
West De Pere took an early 2-0 lead and held the Ships to just 3 hits en route to the shutout win.
In fact, only two Shipbuilders tallied hits, with Gabe Eichman notching a pair and Turner Sorenson getting the other.
Eichman also suffered the loss on the mound, pitching 3 and two-thirds innings and allowing 3 runs while striking out 5 batters.
Nick Minikel came on in relief, allowing just one hit in his 2 and one-third innings of work, while also tallying two punchouts.
The Ships don’t have much time to sulk, though, as they are hosting Plymouth tonight at Bruce Steinbecker Field.
