The Plymouth woman charged with stealing from a 4-H group has returned to court.
51-year-old Stacy Limberg was back in Sheboygan County court on Tuesday for her arraignment, where she pleaded not guilty to one felony count of Theft-Business Setting $10,000 to $100,000.
The 51-year-old was arrested by the Sheboygan Police Department after it was revealed that she wrote fraudulent checks while serving as the treasurer for the Sheboygan County Junior 4H Dairy Project.
These checks were written out to her family members and other non-4-H affiliated groups using the 4-H group’s money; however, she admitted to police that she cashed the checks herself at a bank because “she had to pay farm costs, repair costs of machinery on the farm, and medical costs.”
A criminal complaint shows that in 2024, eight fraudulent checks were written and cashed, amounting to a total of $29,600 stolen from the Sheboygan County Junior 4H Dairy Project.
After entering her plea, Limberg will be back in court for a pre-trial conference on Tuesday (May 5th), followed by a scheduling conference on June 2nd.
