A man has died following a crash in Fond du Lac on Tuesday (April 28th).
The Fond du Lac Police Department was called to the area of West Scott Street and northbound Highway 41 just before 9:30 a.m. on a report of a single vehicle crash.
There, they found a 79-year-old man behind the wheel of a vehicle that had come to rest in the median north of Scott Street.
He was taken to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The preliminary investigation indicates he was traveling west on Scott Street when he ran a stop sign, left the roadway, rolled down a hill, and became airborne over the northbound lanes of traffic on Highway 41 before finally coming to a stop.
It is believed the driver may have experienced a medical emergency prior to the crash, but the investigation is still ongoing.
