The defense for a Calumet County man charged with murder still needs more time to look over the evidence.
22-year-old Ethan Graverson appeared in court via Zoom on Monday (April 27th) for a status conference.
His attorney, Timothy Hogan, told Calumet County Judge Jeffery Froehlich that he is still reviewing evidence and asked for an additional status conference.
Prosecutors did not object, so Judge Froehlich scheduled Graverson’s next status conference for June 24th.
Graverson is charged with 1st-degree intentional homicide with a domestic abuse modifier after sheriff’s deputies say he shot and killed his father in the Town of Woodville last year.
The 22-year-old and his father had gotten into a verbal altercation, which led to him going to the garage and grabbing a gun.
After allegedly shooting his father, Graverson put the gun down, called 911, and waited for deputies to show up.
Graverson also claimed that he’s had issues with his father for years due to mental and emotional abuse.
