The man who was behind the wheel of the bus that crashed in Green Bay last month has entered his plea.
37-year-old Ghebry J. Figueroa was in court on Monday for his arraignment, where he pleaded not guilty to charges of Commercial Driving while Disqualified and two counts of Knowingly Operating While Revoked Causing Great Bodily Harm.
Figueroa was already free on bond, as he posted his $5,000 cash bond shortly after his arrest.
Figueroa was behind the wheel of a tour bus transporting 54 passengers from Illinois to Michigan on March 22nd when he claims the brakes failed as he took the I-43 off-ramp at Webster Avenue in Green Bay.
The bus jumped the curb, struck a snowbank, and finally came to a stop between two warehouse buildings.
41 of the 54 passengers were injured in the crash.
Figueroa is due back in court on July 9th for a status conference.
