The City of Two Rivers is recognizing both Arbor Day and Earth Day this weekend.
The city’s Arbor Day Celebration takes place from 10:00 a.m. to noon tomorrow at Holy Cross and Forest View Cemetery.
Families can join the city’s Parks and Recreation Department for a featured tree planting. Attendees should bring gloves and helping hands to participate in the tree planting.
Following Arbor Day’s recognition, the Parks and Rec Department will hold its annual Earth Day Community Cleanup from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Central Park West, Lakeshore Park, and Riverside Park.
Families, students, and community members are asked to help the department pick up litter in parks, streets, and public spaces.
Trash bags and some grabbers will be provided.
Two Rivers officials also ask residents to wear clothing that can get dirty.
Those interested are asked to sign up to volunteer.
That can be found on the Two Rivers Parks and Recreation website.
