The former owner of a Brookfield dance studio is being sued by the state of Wisconsin.
The Department of Workforce Development claims Amanda Winiecki and Brio Studios owe six former employees more than $73,000 in unpaid wages.
The lawsuit alleges Winiecki pushed those employees to work overtime when they weren’t receiving their regular wages.
The studio closed down two years ago, and WISN reports police were investigating complaints about it abruptly shutting down.
