Recent weather conditions have caused a trail in the Sheboygan area to close.
The Sheboygan County Planning and Conservation Department has announced that a portion of the Sheboygan Inter Urban Trail is now closed due to a culvert washout.
The department explains that the closure is in place between Hoftiezer Road and Walvoord Road, approximately 0.40 miles south of Hoftiezer in the Town of Holland.
At this time, road closure signs are in place at both road intersections as the culvert is not currently safe to cross.
Trail users are asked to use Kappers Road as a detour in the meantime while the closure is active.
