Waukesha police are investigating the death of a man during this week’s severe weather.
Investigators believe the man was killed by a lightning strike at a Kwik Trip store near Interstate 94 on Wednesday.
First responders were called to the store when a witness reported seeing the man lying on the ground, and he was later pronounced dead at the hospital.
Police said yesterday the evidence points to a lightning strike, but the medical examiner will make the final determination.
It also appears the man wasn’t a Wisconsin resident.
