A former Catholic school teacher convicted on 18 counts related to child pornography has been sentenced.
31-year-old Collin Killoren initially pleaded not guilty to all 30 charges he faced, but in February, he changed his plea to guilty to 13 charges of Child Sexual Exploitation and 4 counts of Possession of Child Pornography.
During his sentencing on Thursday (April 16th), Killoren was ordered by Judge Carey Reed to spend 10 years in prison, followed by 10 years of extended supervision.
The other 13 charges of Possession of Child Pornography were dismissed but read into the record. The Appleton Police Department arrested Killoren in April this year after receiving a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
A criminal complaint says that there were multiple sexually explicit images and videos of young children through his Kik account.
He was teaching at St. Ignatius Catholic School in Kaukauna at the time of his arrest.
