The Manitowoc County Board of Realtors is supporting a redevelopment project in the city.
The group has received a $7,500 Placemaking Grant to support Red Arrow Park as “the park and beach are transformed from underused public land into a vibrant community space designed to bring people together.”
The realtor group got the grant with help from the National Association of Realtors as part of its Community Development Advocacy program, which empowers Realtor associations to strengthen their communities through effective advocacy, partnerships, and on-the-ground initiatives.
Manitowoc County Board of Realtors President Kris Remiker says the project improves the quality of life for everyone including, “seniors, families with strollers, visitors with mobility devices and others who have found this space difficult to navigate in the past.”
The realtor group concludes that their commitment to building better communities goes beyond the transaction, using local expertise, partnerships, and advocacy to enhance quality of life and support vibrant, resilient neighborhoods.
