The Denmark Vikings have begun the 2026 baseball season 6- 0 and host the Waupaca Comets this afternoon.
The Vikings have gotten the job done with great pitching and timely hitting.
In fact, they have five quality starters plus a sixth reliever who has all recorded a win.
They also put tremendous pressure on the opposition with a keen eye to reach base and have stolen 17 of 24 bases, an average of almost three per game.
Manitowoc Lutheran tries to get to 3-1 as they head to Kohler to battle Kohler/Sheboygan Christian. The Sheboygan County co-op is still in search of its first win of the season (0- 4).
Games that have been postponed include Roncalli at New Holstein and doubleheaders between Two Rivers and Valders in Valders and Chilton at Kiel, which has been rescheduled for tomorrow.
Elsewhere on the diamond, Sheboygan Lutheran travels to Random Lake; Oostburg hosts Howards Grove; Bay Port has a non-conference home game against Escanaba, Michigan; Green Bay NEW Lutheran/Providence Academy travels to Goodman-Pembine; and Luxemburg-Casco heads up to Marinette to battle The Marines.
