
Several Manitowoc Lutheran Lancers placed well despite a shortened track and field meet at Random Lake High School.
The Lancer’s girls were led by junior Abby Huehn, who took 1st place with a 14-foot, 10-inch jump in the long jump and second in the 100 meters in 13.82 seconds.
Huehn was also part of the 2nd-place 4X100 meter relay along with juniors Ava Schultz and Claire DePew and sophomore Maddie Keil.
Junior Eva Manzano took second in the triple jump, jumping 33 feet, 9.5 inches, and was part of the 2nd place 4×200 relay along with Schultz, Keil, and sophomore Anya Hochmuth.
Senior Makiah Krause (KROW-zee) captured 2nd in the 100-meter hurdles in 19.29 seconds.
For the Lancer boys, senior Trenton Schuettpelz took first in the triple jump with a 45-foot, 1.5-inch jump while taking 2nd in the 110-meter hurdles in 15.72 seconds.
The Lancers 4×100 and 4×200 relays each took first as well, with Ben Harrison, Noah Dillon, Brody Wieting , and Alex Neuser in the 4×100 team and Neuser, plus Isaiah Muchka, Roman DiMarco, and Julian Stuebs.
Muchka jumped 42 feet, 10.5 inches to capture second in the triple jump, and fellow seniors Isaac Wagner and Ben Harrison also took 2nds – Wagner with a 19-foot, 11-inch long jump and Harrison in the 100 meters in 11.71 seconds.
