2025 was a very productive year for Big Brothers Big Sisters Wisconsin Shoreline.
In their 2025 report, CEO Denise Wittstock says the group had 301 Littles matched with mentors thanks to community support.
That is 25% of children in Manitowoc and 75% of children in Sheboygan.
Through the connections, 95% of Littles reported feeling safe with their Big, 87% plan to graduate from high school, and 84% experienced a stronger sense of belonging.
While the number is encouraging, BBBS has a waiting list of 195 young people seeking a Big.
BBBS WI Shoreline also strengthened its financial position while continuing to prioritize mentoring.
The group generated a little more than $1 million with growth in foundation, corporate, and individual giving, helping offset a decline in government funding.
Finances also show a positive net income of $22,751, a significant improvement over the prior year, reflecting disciplined financial management, diverse revenue streams, and improved operating performance.
BBBS WI Shoreline also highlighted its 60th anniversary, honoring Littles, Bigs, families, and supporters who’ve shaped its legacy since its founding.
