A former local and state representative from the Sheboygan area has passed away.
According to his obituary, Clifford Otte passed away peacefully on Saturday (April 11th) at Aurora Medical Center – Sheboygan.
Otte was born in the Town of Wilson before graduating from Oostburg High School in 1950 and enlisting in the U.S. Air Force in 1952.
Upon return from his time serving, Otte became a dairy and crop farmer in the Town of Sheboygan Falls.
Otte was deeply committed to public service and would go on to serve as the representative for the 27th District in the Wisconsin State Assembly from 1993 to 1999.
His public service did not end there, as he also spent time on the Sheboygan Falls School Board, the Sheboygan County Board, the Sheboygan Falls Cooperative Board and was the Supervisor and Clerk for the Town of Sheboygan Falls.
Funeral services for Otte will be held on Friday (April 17th), while his family will welcome visitors from 9:30 a.m. to 11:45 a.m.
Otte was 93 years old at the time of his passing.
