Motorists in the City of Sheboygan will be encountering a new road construction project this week.
The Sheboygan Department of Public Works has announced that, beginning tomorrow (April 15th), road work will begin on South Business Drive between Union Avenue and Georgia Avenue.
With work beginning, the DPW is alerting the public that this construction project will close one lane in both directions on South Business Drive, and no detour will be posted.
Work to be done through the duration of the project includes storm sewer improvements, curb and gutter repairs, concrete panel replacements, and pavement marking.
Despite the lane closures, residents in the work zone will have access to their homes until the project’s tentative completion in June.
However, all work and traffic impacts are weather-dependent and subject to change.
To close, Sheboygan’s DPW finished their announcement by stating, “The City of Sheboygan understands the inconvenience experienced during road construction and appreciates your patience and cooperation as we work to complete this project. Please use caution and slow down in construction zones.”
