Manitowoc County Sheriff Dan Hartwig
Manitowoc County’s sheriff has provided an update on some vehicle break-ins in Mishicot.
Sheriff Dan Hartwig explained on WOMT’s Be My Guest program yesterday that four firearms were stolen out of the vehicles after they were left unlocked and unattended.
The good news is that all four firearms were recovered, and three men have been taken into custody.
The investigation has also expanded into two neighboring counties due to vehicle break-ins there.
Hartwig did not specify which counties they were in or what charges the three men are facing.
The sheriff reminds vehicle owners to always keep valuables out of sight, if possible, and to lock their vehicle no matter where they are.
