
A beloved event in Sheboygan is set to return this summer.
The Sheboygan Police Department has announced that they will once again be sponsoring the Kids Bike Rodeo, which is set to take place on June 13th at St Peter Laver Church.
At the event, area children will have the chance to learn from SPD officers regarding bicycle safety, maintenance, safe riding, and much more.
Other highlights of the bike rodeo will include a free helmet fitting, a bike inspection, a skills course, and raffle prizes.
Regarding the event, Sheboygan Police said, “The skills course will teach riders how to change directions, steer through tight spaces, weave and maneuver, watch for danger, stop safely, and many other skills in a safe and controlled environment. It is open to children ages 3 to 12 years old.”
Parents, guardians, and families are also encouraged to participate.
Those looking to attend are reminded to come equipped with a bike and a helmet, and for those who do not have a helmet, new helmets are available while supplies last.
While registration will be available on the day of, those looking to register a child beforehand can do so online by visiting sheboyganwi.gov.
