The Aging and Disabilities Resource Center of the Lakeshore is sharing the benefits of a kit for those who may be struggling mentally.
A Memory Kit is a collection of items and activities to support and stimulate those with dementia or cognitive impairments and is developed around various themes that provide personal connection and engagement.
The kits include a range of items and activities of personal significance, including DVDs, photo cards, puzzles, word searches, and more.
They are also themed with options for former Handyman or Homemakers, as well as for lovers of pets, seasons, and others.
ADRC of the Lakeshore Director Wendy Hutterer says the Memory Kits are crafted to invoke cherished memories, spark new experiences, and encourage heartfelt conversations with those you care about.
Those interested in Memory Kits can call the ADRC of the Lakeshore at 1-877-416-7083.
They can also be reached at adrc@manitowoccountywi.gov.
