The Friends of Wisconsin Shipwreck Coast National Marine Sanctuary is bringing films to Manitowoc.
They will be shown at the Franciscan Center for Music Education and Performance, west of the city, this evening (April 10th) from 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Doors open at 5:00 p.m., and tickets cost $5. Attendees will experience ten international and regionally recognized films focused on the Ocean and the Great Lakes.
Each will be between 5 and 25 minutes long and will feature kiteboarding, deep-ocean discovery, shipwrecks, Great Lakes exploration, and more.
Wisconsin Shipwreck Coast National Marine Sanctuary Superintendent Russ Green says, “The slate of films is fantastic, and we hope they will help inspire audiences to protect special underwater places in the Great Lakes – and beyond.”
